Few days ago, Governor Fashola sacks 788 striking doctors in Lagos State. Poor people in Lagos suffered lack of good proper medicare during these doctors' strike and also when they were sacked.

  But Ademola Fashola, the father of Governor Babatunde Fashola , has been flown to the United States for medical attention for an undisclosed sickness during the time of strike action embarked by the doctors.

But the state' Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris said Mr Ademola fashola was transferred abroad on referral from LASUTH(Lagos State University Teaching Hospital).

This was made known by President of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, on Saturday during Yekini’s fidau prayer at Ira, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Also, The NFF also donated the sum of N500,000 to the immediate family of the deceased.

    Also, these two terrorist group are expected to have a long term partnership in which the unknown Algerian terrorist group will train new boko haram members in: hostage taking, weapon handling, kidnapping, attcking of expariates like Julius Berger and Dantata and Sawoe, etc

This report was  a product of a joint police and military investigations and raids, carried out in Kano and Sokoto in December 2011.

Mr. Dele Ige  who is the younger brother to late Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige, has been confirmed dead.

Mr Dele Ige died during his nephew's 60th birth day in Ibadan. He slumped and died shortly before he deliver his speech. His nephew is Mr  Akin Ige.

Mr Dele Ige was born on the 6th September, 1930. He is age 82 years. He is the last born of the Ige's family.

May his gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.

A 5-gang armed robbers attacked the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service  at about 2am on Friday and made away with the sum of about N20Million.

The robbers were said to have broken in through the windows of the Parastatal Building headquarters of the Ogun IRS .

The Police Public Relations Officer , Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi , who confirmed the incident, also ordered the arrest of the guards. This arrest was made because they wondered why the robbery occured when there was Money in the Gov't vault.  Source

  The final was played between Team Abuja and Team Kano at the astro-turf pitch of the Area 3 Sports Complex in Abuja. Emmanuel Victor of Team Abuja scored the only goal of the match at the 4th minute of the first half. Game ended 1-0 in favour of Team Abuja.

   At the other game, Team Kaduna which lost to Team Kano at the semi-finals , defeated Abuja Selected 2-0 with both goals scored at each half of the game. Victor Joseph scored the first goal at 8th minutes and Muawya Abubakar scored the second through a penalty kick won  by same Victor Joseph.

It is with great sadness that I wish to announce the demise of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe .
 
  Professor Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in the morning of Saturday, May 12, 2012.
    
  Sources close to the family say Sofoluwe was rushed to LUTH last night as his health condition worsened. He then suffered from cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead by 1AM.

   The professor recently celebrated his 62nd birthday on April 16.
‘He was a friendly man, always cheerful, we will miss him’, a UNILAG student told NET.
Sofoluwe was appointed the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos with effect from 31st January, 2010.

A 14-seater bus conveying 13 entertainers from Oukpo, Benue State was involved ghastly motor accident with a Trailer.

  This accident leads to the instant death of  9 Promising members while 4 others seriously  injured.

“Nine of the occupants traveling in the bus lost their lives in the accident, while four others were severely injured,” an eyewitness said.

According to him, the late artistes include: Eunice Kahn, Inalegwu Alechenu, Bathy Jayboy, Ogboji John, Owoicho Agada, Pius and Moses, among others. One of the survivors eventually died on Saturday,” he added.

Lagos state Government Issues Quit Notice To Sacked Doctors

After sacking the striking doctors, the Lagos state govenment did not waste time to issue quit notice to the already sacked doctors who are still leaving in the quartes. The Quit Notice was dated May 8, 2012 and it was issued by by the Secretary of the Staff Housing Board for the Head of Service, I.A Shoyemi.
   Each Quit Notice Reads, I quote,"
“Consequent upon your dismissal from the service of the Lagos State Government with effect from 4th May, 2012, and in accordance with the civil service rule, no officer shall continue to occupy the state government quarters after the date of his or her resignation/dismissal.
  I wish to request you to vacate the state government staff quarters.
The notices also directed the doctors to submit the keys to their quarters to Mr Shoyemi to “forestall forceful eviction". Source

   His music makes deeper meaning in the past, present and even in the future. Bob died May 11, 1981 after succumbing to cancer. He died at the age of 36.
  Marley released 13 albums over the course of his career alongside his band the Wailers, with Confrontation released in 1983 in his remebrance. He has large number of fans world wide. Even reknown rappers like Snoop Doog and Whiz Khalifa are lovers of Bob Marley.

There are many Prisoners in Nigeria and the world who are in prison for a crime they did not commit. Please my readers read the pathetic  story below:

This is Patrick Okoroafor. He was sentenced to prison in 1995 in Imo State. This happened when he was just 14 years. When he reached 16, 2 years later, the judge sentenced him to death.

Patrick  Okoroafor remained in prison till 2008 for crime he DID NOT COMMIT. He had pleaded innocence but many did not believe. But Help came Amnesty International who campaign for his release. Amnesty International campaign for a period of 4 years.

Fortunately, on the 30^th April, 2012, He was released. He had spent 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Mr Patrick is now 31 years old.

I am very angry with the judicial system in Nigeria.
