I believe that every disappontment is a blessing. See, Nigerian muscian Iyanya Mbuk missed his flight and became diappointed. little did he know God allowed it for a purpose.

Iyanya Mbuk, the Winner of the MTN Project fame west Africa Season 1, and the Singer of the hit Nigerian track "Kukere" used the social media, Twitter to reveal how he escaped death by deciding to miss the flight that crashed in Lagos state today.

He Tweeted, 'I don't think i had an authentic reason to stay back in abuja, i just came up with an excuse that i wana go to the studio in abuja"
'When its not your time...its not urs.... it took me 30 mins to convince my manager that we should stay back in abuja...GOD IS GREAT!!!!'

President Declared A 3-Day National Mourning To Honour Victims of Plane Crash

President Jonathan has ordered a 3-day mourning be observed in honour of the souls of the deceased who died in Todays lagos bomb blast.

President Jonathan, who cancelled all his public engagements scheduled for tomorrow, also directed that the Nigerian flag be flown at half-mast for the three days of national mourning.

BREKING NEWS: Plane Crash in Lagos, Killing 153 Passengers

Plane Crash in Lagos
A McDonnell Douglas (MD-83) aircraft , coming from Abuja and  heading to  Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos , carrying about 150 passengers had crashed directly into a two-story building in Lagos  just 4 minutes to landing.

The Airkine was said to belong to Dana airlines plane
My Main Sources said the crash killed all the passengers on board(about 153 people).

But some other sources said the number of people killed is still unknown.
Oh my God! What a disaster. Pray for the families of the deceased.

The 7th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards has released list of its nominees at an event held at Federal Palace Hotel on Jun 1, 2012.

Whizkid leads the nominees as he was listed in 6 categories, while Eldee, Bez, Tiwa Savage and Davido all have each been listed in 3 categories out of a total of 26 Categories.
The toughest category is the  ‘Best New Act of the Year’  category which had listed Chidinma, Davido, MayD, Bez, BrymO, and Tiwa Savage.

The awards will hold in New York City, on September 2, 2012.

BREAKING: Bomb Blast in Bauchi Church, Kills 12 People

Bomb Blast
A bomb blast just occurred at the Living Faith Church around Yelwa area , Bauchi state, this morning , killing at least 12 people.

The blast was a suicide bomber attack as confirmed by Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ladan.

But other sources said the suicide bomber drove a Honda car into a church, Harvest Church sandwiched between Living Faith church and Deeper Life Church in Yelwan Tudu, Bauchi.

The blast had killed both the suicide bomber, the church guards and other people.

BEAKING: Collapsed Building in Ibadan Claimed Some Lives

About 13 workers went to the construction site of the New Covenant Church, Sagbe, Ojoo, Ibadan, non wednesday morning but they did not know they will meet their death.

After the days work and as they wait to collect their wages, a downpour of rainfall began. As such, they took shelter under the building under construction. But suddenly the building collapsed on  them and killed most of them.

Nasarawa: Violence Killed Atleast 30 People.

In Assakyo, headquarters of Lafia East Development Area of Nasarawa State, the violence between Alago and Berom communities has left atleast 30 people feared dead.
   Sources said the crises was because of  disagreement over some payment made to the traditional head in the LG area.

Eggon people objected to the payment to the Alago traditional head, alleging that the other community was taking undue advantage of them.

World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria face Namibia in Calabar Today.

Well, I think the real job has now begun for Coach Stephen Keshi. Victor Moses, who plays for Wigan, has given us some assurance that the Eagles will override their Namibia counterpart in Calabar today. But we all know that in football, anything can happen. Nigeria don't want to have a bad day especially after remembering that match that Nigeria failed to qualify for the Nations cup in 25 years.

Fedral Govt To Employ 1,305 Part-Time Teachers into Federal Unity Colleges

The FG has decided to employ 1,305 part time teachers teaching in more than 40 Federal Unity Colleges nationwide. This was confirmed by the Minister of State for Education, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

This move, according to the minister, is to enhance the academic strength in these colleges and address the challenges in the education sector.  The minister also stated the selection will be purely on merit.

Oba Oladele Olashore, a former MD of First Bank Nigeria and the paramount ruler of Iloko Ijesha, is dead. He was 77 years old.
Osun state governor, Aregbesola,  describe the loss as a colossal loss and a lost of a dedicated professional. Aregbesola also recalled Oba Oladele's brilliant performance as MD of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
