Desmond Elliot with his family, graced the cover of the latest edition of Genevieve Magazine.

Genevieve Magazines is owned by Betty Irabor. The Main Purpose of the Magazine is to have an exclusive interview with the fine actor turned producer and director. Desmond gradually gained fame from the soap, Everyday People, which featured late Sam Loco Efe.
Desmond Elliot, who has 4 kids, is a regular face in Nollywood, a Glo ambassador and belongs to Emem Isong's Royal Arts Academy camp, which has Ini Edo, Monalisa Chinda, Uche Jombo and others.

Gunfire and explosions erupted in the city of Maiduguri on Tuesday as soldiers moved into an area where members of Islamist group Boko Haram were believed to be hiding, residents said.
“There have been at least eight explosions in these neighbourhoods and soldiers have moved in with tanks and have taken over the whole area,” one resident said.

Genevieve Nnaji has been named Range Rover Ambassador in Nigeria. Coscharis motors who are the official dealer in Nigeria, brokered the deal.
 In this deal, Genevieve will be given a Range Rover Sports SUV, one of the most wanted cars by celebrities, and also $100,000 in the first six months of the deal.

TRAGEDY: Maimuna and Nine Other Family Memebers Dead in Dana Plane Crash

There are many people who lost their lives in the Dana plane crash. But one tragic deaths is the one an entire family being wipe out.  Ms Maimuna Anyene, a Connecticut-based Nigerian woman,  along with her 9 other family members were all killed in the Dana plane crash. Among the family members who died are her husband, sister, her four kids, two cousins and her mother-in-law.

The Federal Government this afternoon withdrew the operating license of Dana Airlines following the Lagso Plane crash that left over 160 dead two days ago. I quite agree with FG. lesson to other operators.

Big Brother Africa Update: DKB and Zainab Fight, Were Disqualified!

It was a serious fight oo. Infact the angry Zainab walked to DKB  and said: " Slap Me Now". Then DKB lost his control and hit her. It took the intervention of their fellow housemates to separate the pair.

Due to Zainab's disqualification, Sierra Leone now has no representative. While Ghana will, as a result of DKB's disqualification, will now put all hope on Keitta, who on Sunday, June 3, 2012, survived an eviction to become an Upville Housemate.

UNILAG Protest: Students Sue Jonathan To Court Over Name Change

Some students of former Unilag(now MAULAG-Moshood Abiola Unversity) have decided to take laws into their hands by sueing the President to Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
 The students argued that the power to change the name of their institution from UNILAG to MAULAG belongs to the National Legisture as provided under the University of Lagos Act 1967(as amended).

The students also asked the court to declare that the change of name as mentined by the President on May 29,is unconstitutional, ultra vires, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.

NSUKKA: Gunmen Kidnap A Doctor and Killed A Tailor

Some armed gunmen came to Nsukka town a kidnapped a medical doctor. The doctor was identified as one  Dr. M.A Sadiq, a staff of the University of Nigeria, UNN, Medical Centre. He  was kidnapped in front of his private hospital, Mount Arafat Hospital, 59 Aku Road Nsukka on Saturday. The doctor was given the beaten of his life.
  The security man to the doctor, Mr Sani , was also beaten black and blue while trying to save his master.

NNPC Mourns Departed Colleagues

NNPC had lost some of its staff during Sunday's Lagos Plane Crash. The entire NNPC were still in shock and sad. Among its lost staffs is late Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Levi Ajuonuma.
Also Department of Petroleum Resources annouinced the death of one its colleague, Assistant Directors/Zonal Operations Manager, Abuja, Mr. Anthony Nwokoagbara.
