Bodija Market: Communal Clash Killed One Person

Vibrant Bodija Market in Ibadan

One person was shot dead while an Inspector with the Nigerian Police Force was reportedly stabbed, severally on the head in a clash at the famous Bodija market in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The clash which has left the market deserted, had the market police station, a number of stores and at least 10 cars destroyed set ablaze.
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state police, Mr Tambari Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said five people including the man who led the arson have been arrested.

Club With Broken Bottles; Where Drake and Chris Fought Each Other

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, is reported to have given physical evidence that Drake was involved in the fight at the New York night club, Hollie C to detectives.

An alleged brawl between the two artists and their friends in the New York club, left the RnB artist with a bruised chin, which he posted the picture on Twitter.

Drake, has however stated that he is not responsible for the cut on Brown’s chin, saying he was simply leaving the club when the fight broke out.

It is reported that US music acts – pop singer Chris Brown and rapper Drake got into a fight at the popular ‘after hours’ night club WIP, allegedly over Chris’ ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

It is believed that Chris Brown and Drake have had a ‘difficult’ relationship for the past three years over Rihanna. The Bajan pop singer is said to have allegedly cheated on Chris with Drake and the former has kept a grudge ever since.

GUNMEN on Tuesday evening ambushed a six-man police patrol team on the Maiduguri-Bama Road and killed three of them. They injured three others, including the driver of the vehicle. The incident occurred at 5 p.m.
An eyewitness said that the gunmen ambushed the policemen, who were in a Golf Volkswagen vehicle near the Dalori Quarters.

Unknown gunmen opened fire and killed three persons this afternoon in Jos, Plateau State . The attack happened around Bukuru Expressway when the men opened fire from an unknown location and immediately fled.

A 34-year old woman, Bukola Abiwa (pictured above), has been arrested by the police and arraigned before Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, for allegedly attempting to kill herself and her fiance, Sunday Onayiga, with a knife. Yobe State House of Assembly Deputy Leader Killed.

Reports reaching us indicate that The Deputy Leader of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Degubi, has been killed. Degubi was killed yesterday by unknown gunmen. There's an on going investigation to establish those behind the killing and why he was killed.

The Public Relations Officer of the Yobe State Police Command, Mr Adamu Salihu, confirmed the killing of the legislator.
“We have not ascertained those behind the killing and their motive.

“Investigation is going on to establish those who killed him and why he was killed,” Salihu said.
The late legislator was elected into the state’s assembly in 2011, to represent Nangere Constituency.

BREAKING NEWS: Gunmen Kill 6 In Kano

Gunmen have shot dead six persons at Rimin Kebe in Tudun Murtala, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano.
An eye witness in Kano on Tuesday said that the incident, which happened at about 10:00 p.m on Monday, left many others seriously injured.

The authorities of Federal Government College (FGC), Kano, have confirmed to reporters that two of its students were killed in an attack yesterday by unknown gunmen. Four others were also injured, the school said today.
This confirms the report by SaharaReporters which broke the story last night about the shooting of the students.
