BREAKING NEWS: Italian Commits Suicide in EFCC Custody

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the death of a 52 year old Italian, Mr. Mauro Zanin, who died in the bathroom of the Commission’s detention facility in Abuja, early Tuesday morning.
A statement by the EFCC’s spokesperson Wilson Uwujarena, stated that the Mr Zanin who was arrested for fraudulently obtaining the sum of $111,000 from Gladwaters Nigeria Limited, passed away, two days before he was scheduled to appear in court.

Big Brother on Tuesday disqualified the two Zimbabweans, Roki and Maneta, who are representating their country in the stargame show.
This is the second time that Big Brother will be taking the decision to disqualify housemates who violate the House rules. Zainab and DKB were also disqualified from the show after DKB slapped Zainab.

BREAKING NEWS: 24 Hour Curfew Re-imposed in Kaduna state

The Kaduna state government has re-imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the troubled state as renewed violence erupted in the state, Tuesday morning.

Sporadic gunshots were heard in the city, morning as some youths took to the streets burning tyres and allegedly destroying a Church.
Unconfirmed reports has it that violent protests has spread across the city in areas such as Malali, Trikania, Kabala West, Ungwan Shanu, Ungwan Rimi, Ungwa Romi, Kakuri, Tundun Wada, Barnawa, Rigasa and Gonin Gora.

Euro 2012: Nicklas Bendtner Banned For Showing His Pants During Celebration

Denmark's Nicklas Bendtner has been banned for one match and fined 100,000 euros (£80,000) by Uefa for his goal celebration against Portugal.

He lowered his shorts to reveal the logo of a betting company on his underpants after scoring the second of his two goals in the 3-2 defeat.
"This suspension applies to the next 2014 Fifa World Cup match for which Bendtner is eligible," said Uefa.

Bendtner has three days in which to appeal.

BREAKING NEWS: 24 Hour Curfew Imposed in Damaturu

The Yobe state government has imposed a 24 hour curfew in Damaturu, the state capital.
This followed the intense gun battle between the Joint task Force (JTF) and suspected members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect which occurred on Monday around 5:30 pm, running through the night.

GUNMEN, Monday, stormed The Nation’s Newspapers office in Diobu area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, carting away over N500,000 and other valuables.

Bureau Chief of The Nation, Mr. Bisi Olaniyi, who confirmed the incident, said the robbers were two in number, adding that they were armed with pistols.
