Nigeria's Victor Moses is now fr sure coing to Chelsea as both Chelsea and Wigan have agreed on a fee believed to be around 9Million Euros.

According to newspaper reports, three women were arraigned before a Higher Shari’a Court in Gusau for allegedly raping a 20 year old man.

The man, Abdulrahman Sulaiman, was a Man-O-War volunteer who went to the Women Multi-Purpose Center in Gusau to help organize a preaching session organized by the state’s Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs for women during the holy month of Ramadan.

The recently released results by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) have claimed lives in Delta State. Two female students that failed their exams yesterday allegedly committed suicide in Asaba, the state capital.

Reports said the students committed suicide after checking their result in the internet and discovered that it was unfavourable to them.

Sources said the victims had written the exams three times without passing their Maths and English Language, which led them to allegedly resolve to commit suicide.

Some persons who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity confirmed that the students had struggled to gain admission into the University in the last few years without success.

Police sources at the "B" Division Asaba said the students were allegedly found dead in their various rooms after a search party that was conducted.

Woman Arrested For Removing Four (4) Teeth of Her Opponent

An Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada on Thursday sentenced Eucharia Mwachukwu to six months imprisonment for causing grievous hurt to one Rakiya Umar.

The judge, Mr Waziri Adamu, however, gave her an option of N5,000 fine.

Adamu said that the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convict committed the offence.

Mr Luke Elemechi, the defence counsel, said his client was a first offender and prayed the court to tamper justice with mercy.

He said the convict was a widow and the only person taking care of her children, adding that any harsh punishment would not only affect her but also her dependants.

Chevonne Thomas

A mother by name, Chevonne Thomas, murdered her 2-year-old son, remove his head and stored his head in the freezer before stabbing herself to death.

Chevonne Thomas, 33, and her son Zahree Thomas, died in a murder suicide at their

home in Camden, New Jersey, in the early hours of this morning.

Philadelphia police received a call around 12.30am from a woman about a domestic dispute.

Chevonne at first lied to the police that her boyfriend had done something to her child before admitting, 'I did it'.

Chevonne is believed to have had a history of mental problems. According to Fox, she barricaded herself inside the home after arguing with a man believed to be her boyfriend.

When police arrived, they found the boy's headless body on the first floor.

Chevonne was on a second-floor bedroom and police tried to talk her into surrendering. But she slashed her own throat and died before police could reach her.

They found the child's head in the freezer later.

LL Cool J. Beats Up An Intruder In His L.A. Home

On this Wednesday, Popular US rapper, LL Cool J, caught and beats up an intruder who broke into his house in Los Angeles, while he was sleeping.

While Cool J.(real name is James Todd Smith) was sleeping, he heard heard suspicious noises downstairs around 2 a.m. Upon going down to investigate, the 44-year-old rapper-actor discovered his home had been broken into by an intruder.

LL Cool J then apprehend the intruder and restrain him until authorities arrived on the scene. Police, who have yet to release the intruder's name, reported that while the suspect suffered a few bruises, no one was hurt and nothing was stolen from the home.

But thank God nothing bad rally happened as both LL Cool J and his family were not hurt.

"LL Cool J and his family are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter," his rep said.

Woman Prevented From Committing Suicide To Face the Firing Squad

This is the dramatic moment that family, friends and rescue service workers desperately try to stop a woman from leaping to her death.

They are forced to cling to Sheng Fi’s legs as she threatens to throw herself off a nine-storey building.
But what they did not know was that she had smothered her four-year-old nephew just hours earlier and thrown his body from the same roof in Southern China.

A Nigerian student is languishing in Ukrainian jail for allegedly defending himself against six teenagers who attacked him in an entrance to his apartment block on November, 5 last year in Luhanski, Ukraine.

Bomb Explosions Destroy Primary School In Yobe

The police in Yobe on Monday said that a section of Damagum Primary School in Damagum Local Government Area was gutted by fire from suspected explosions in the area.

Mr. Toyin Gbadegeshin, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, made the disclosure in an interview in Damagum.

He also said policemen on Monday repelled an attempted attack on Damagum Police Station by unknown persons.

Gbadegeshin said “at about 1:05a.m., attacks launched on Damagum Police station and a worship centre were successfully repelled by the police but no casualty was recorded while the gunmen fled into the bush.’’

He said the explosion occurred few hours before the attack on the station but nobody claimed responsibility.

The officer said no casualty was recorded in both incidents.

Many Youths Protest Oil Spill in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

Youths of Esit Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have protested against the oil spill which occurred along the shoreline near Ibeno.

The protesters, made up of fishermen, youths and other groups affected by the spill, carried placards, singing solidarity songs at the council’s secretariat, Uquo.

The protesters were prevented from seeing the LGA Chairman as security personnel locked up the gates. However, the council’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Enobong Asubob, later addressed them.

Policemen attached to Bode Thomas Division, Lagos State, on Sunday foiled two robbery incidents in Surulere and arrested three suspects in the process.

GistNaija learnt that the suspects were operating about 8:30am when a resident sent a distress call to the police.

Our correspondent, who visited the area, learnt that the Divisional Police Officer, Bode Thomas, Mr. Bode Ojajuni, led policemen to the scene and arrested one of the suspects identified as Lekan Jamiu.

Anambra State University Students Angry with Bob-Manuel Udokwu

This afternoon top Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu was a guest speaker at the Anambra State University, Igbariam.

Confusion in Kano as Boko Haram members attack Security Agents

There was pandemonium in Kundila Estate area along Maiduguri Road in Kano metropolis on Sunday when suspected Boko Haram members attacked security agents at a roadblock.

The security agents mounted a roadblock at the roundabout near Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano.

Around 2.15p.m, the gunmen emerged from Kundila Estate and fired on the roadblock.

The security agents, however, replied and forced the gunmen to beat a hasty retreat into the estate.

The security agents then blocked the entry and exit points of the estate as well as the neighbouring Daurawa Quarters and embarked on a house to house search.

Alleged man-eater, Clifford Orji, dies in prison.

Alleged Cannibal, and 12 years inmate of Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Clifford Orji, has died of unknown causes.

Clifford Orji was a Man known for the evil deed he perpertrated under the bridge which was along Apapa Oshodi Expressway in Lagos.

When he was arrested in February 1999 following a tip-off by passers-by suspecting that he might be an accomplice to ritualists, strange and suspicious items found on him were a cheque of N88,000, Cell Phone, women underwear, including roasted human flesh and bones.

Clifford Orji has being in Kirikiri Maximum security prison for 13years, he developed mental illness in prison and finally died on Friday August 17th in his sleep. He was 46 years old.

I don’t think anyone will miss Clifford Orji.

Heavily armed men on Sunday invaded the Oko Minimum Prison in Edo state, freeing 12 inmates.
The gunmen attacked the prison gate and overpowered the prison Arms Squard with explosives, which led to the escape of 12 prisoners.

Eye witnesses said the gunmen arrived the prison in a Toyota Coaster.

2 Friends Gang-Rape 17-Year Old Girl, Take Her Nude Pictures

A 17-year old girl (name withheld) has narrated before an Ejigbo magistrate’s court in Lagos, how two friends, Ekene Uzor, 24, and Eni Daniel, 21, allegedly gang-ráped her after they had forced her to suck their penises. They also took her nudé photo with their camera phones.

The teenager was giving evidence before the court in a two-count charge of forcing her to suck the defendants’ penises and gang-ráping her.

At Thursday’s resumed hearing before the trial magistrate, Mrs. M.B. Folami, the girl said she knew Daniel Uzor, who is in the entertainment industry, at her mother’s shop in Surulere, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

Lagos is the 3rd Worst Place To Live On Earth – E.I.U. Report

According to a new report carried out by The Economist Intelligence Unit, Lagos is the 3rd worst place to live on earth. Nigeria’s commercial city placed 138th out of the 140 cities surveyed.

Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is the overall worst city, while Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea came second in the chart of the worst cities to live in the world.

Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire placed 131st; Tehran, Iran came 132; Douala, Cameroon is the 133rd; Tripoli, Libya placed 134th; Karachi, Pakistan came 135th; Algiers, Algeria is 136th while Harare in Zimbabwe placed 137th in the category of the worst cities in the world.
