Racism: Nigerian Student, Olaolu Femi, Suffering In Ukranian Jail For Defending Himself


A Nigerian student is languishing in Ukrainian jail for allegedly defending himself against six teenagers who attacked him in an entrance to his apartment block on November, 5 last year in Luhanski, Ukraine.

African Outlook gathered that the Nigerian identified as Olaolu Sunkanmi Femi and one of his friends were physically attacked in front of his apartment by four Ukrainian young men and two women who pulled them to the ground while hurling racist slurs on them.

According to eye witness account, Olaolu Sunkanmi Femi was said to have managed to get up and defended himself against the assailants with a glass from a broken bottle. 

South Africa: 20 People Arrestd For Plotting To Kill Nelson Mandela


 A South African court Monday convicted the last of 20 men accused of high treason for a plot to kill Nelson Mandela and drive blacks out of the country, in a trial that spanned nearly a decade. 

The "Boeremag" organisation had planned a right-wing coup in 2002 to overthrow the post-apartheid government by creating chaos in the country. 

Dozens of people were injured and one person killed in blasts that shook the Johannesburg township of Soweto in October 2002.

A 200 Level student of Unilag, Tope Nelson(picture above), is Missing.
Tope left  Surulere where he stays with his elder sister to visit his brother at Iyana-Ipaja but got missing in between. The sad incident happened on Saturday . 

All efforts to reach Tope were unsuccessful. His two phones were switched off.

Man Arrested For Having Sex With A Teddy Bear For The Fourth Time

A man named Charles Marshall(Picture Above) was arrested Wednesday after employees at a health clinic say him masturbating with a teddy bear in an alley according to to police reports.

Marshall was having sex with a teddy bear for the fourth time- WTF!

Marshall was arrested on wednesday after employees at a health clinic saw him masturbating with a teddy bear in an alley, according to a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.
Marshall has three previous convictions for either Public Indecency or disorderly conduct with a teddy bear.

Sometimes I wonder where this world is going. How can a human being have sex with a lifeless teddy bear? What nest do we expect? Immorality is always on the increase. God help us, please!

Bomb Explosions Destroy Primary School In Yobe


The police in Yobe on Monday said that a section of Damagum Primary School in Damagum Local Government Area was gutted by fire from suspected explosions in the area.

Mr. Toyin Gbadegeshin, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, made the disclosure in an interview in Damagum.

He also said policemen on Monday repelled an attempted attack on Damagum Police Station by unknown persons.
Gbadegeshin said “at about 1:05a.m., attacks launched on Damagum Police station and a worship centre were successfully repelled by the police but no casualty was recorded while the gunmen fled into the bush.’’

He said the explosion occurred few hours before the attack on the station but nobody claimed responsibility.
The officer said no casualty was recorded in both incidents.

Many Youths Protest Oil Spill in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

Youths of Esit Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have protested against the oil spill which occurred along the shoreline near Ibeno.

The protesters, made up of fishermen, youths and other groups affected by the spill, carried placards, singing solidarity songs at the council’s secretariat, Uquo.

The protesters were prevented from seeing the LGA Chairman as security personnel locked up the gates. However, the council’s Vice Chairman, Mr. Enobong Asubob, later addressed them.

Police Arrest 3 Robbers in Lagos

Policemen attached to Bode Thomas Division, Lagos State, on Sunday foiled two robbery incidents  in Surulere and arrested three suspects in the process.

GistNaija learnt that the suspects were operating about 8:30am when a resident sent a distress call to the police.

Our correspondent, who visited the area, learnt that the Divisional Police Officer, Bode Thomas, Mr. Bode Ojajuni, led policemen to the scene and arrested one of the suspects identified as Lekan Jamiu.
