Sun Myung Moon, a self-declared messiah who founded the controversial Unification Church which has millions of followers around the globe, died on Monday leaving a vast business empire and a legacy of mass weddings.

Church officials said Moon, 92, who had suffered complications from pneumonia, was taken to hospital in Seoul in mid-August and was moved to a hospital in a rural retreat last week when his family believed there was little chance of recovery.

He died on Monday (Sept 3,2012) at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos.

Ola Vincent was born on 16 May 1925.

He was an economist and was Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria between 1977 and 1982.

Until his death, he was a director at Industrial And General Insurance Plc.

The report also says Mrs. Jonathan was airlifted to Wisbanden Germany where she is allegedly undergoing medical treatment for food posioning related issues in one of the hospitals.

BREAKING NEWS: Fuel Tanker Explodes Near Abuja (PHOTOS)

                       

A fuel tanker has exploded in Maje town, on the outskirts of Abuja, killing two people and destroying 29 buildings, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has said.

A statement by NEMA spokesperson, Yushau Shuaibu, said the tanker fell and then exploded, killing the two victims and injuring many others. Two of the 29 buildings destroyed were residential apartments while 27 were shops.

Mr. Shuaibu did not say how many people were injured in the incident. He only said the injured had been taken to hospital.

OMG: Commercial Bus Driver Kills Albino Girl During Gani Fawehinmi Rally in Lagos

                      

Tragedy struck during the Gani Fawehinmi rally in Lagos when a commercial bus driver on Saturday killed an albino girl riding on the back of a bike along Kudirat Abiola way the Ikeja/Oregun/Ojota axis of Lagos and injuring two others while attempting to escape.

The tragedy occurred around 12.35pm as a yellow commuter bus was driving against the one-way traffic along Kudirat Abiola way, just opposite the lane to activists on a march to commemorate the death of prominent civil rights lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi.

The activists had begun their march from under the popular bridge along Obafemi Awolowo way in Ikeja with five police vans watching them closely.

A man by name  Ornguga Adega, was arrested by police for shooting his only son dead while testing his newly acquired bullet proof ‘juju’.

The father was conducting a gunshot test on the boy.
 
According to the police, the suspect and father of the ten- year- old had, in August 2012, bought some charm from a native doctor with the belief that it was potent enough to prevent the penetration of bullets into his body.

Barely three months after the reported birth of a baby with a mini-Quran in Mushin area of Lagos State, another oddity has occurred in Sagamu, Ogun State as a woman was said to have delivered a baby boy with an Islamic rosary, otherwise known as Tesbeu.

Investigation by Sunday Sun revealed that the boy was delivered on Tuesday at Rotoluwa Maternity Home along Aiyepe Road at about 11.45pm.

Mrs. Gbemisola Hamsat, a 35-year-old mother of five, was said to have been delivered of the baby and the rosary.

Expectedly, the strange delivery has turned their 2, Odujoko Street, off Prison Road, residence into a Mecca of sorts as people thronged the area to confirm the tale.

A mother of five girls, Iyabo Oladunni, with the eldest being 12 years old ended up giving birth to a set of quadruplets while desperately searching to have just a boy.

35-year-old Oladunni, who was blessed with a set of quadruplets at 5:14pm on Friday 24, 2012 at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. Iyabo and her husband, Olayemi, live in Ijaye Orile near Ibadan, Oyo State.

South African Woman Arrested For Having Sex With Her Dog

                            

A woman has been arrested by police in Pretoria, South Africa, over allegations that she has been having sex with her dog for some time.

According to sources, the police secured a search warrant to search the woman’s home on Wednesday after a complaint by an animal protection organisation.

An anonymous person dropped off a DVD recording of the woman’s activities at the organisation’s premises. During the search of her home, police found more recordings of the woman having sexual intercourse with the dog.

 A man stole a physician's identity and pretended to be a doctor for a year in South Carolina, and now investigators are combing through medical records to see whether he harmed any of the hundreds of patients he treated, authorities said.

Ernest Addo of Austell, Ga., is charged with unlawful practice of medicine and obtaining goods under false pretense, authorities said.

Addo doesn't have a medical license in the U.S. But he assumed a doctor friend's identity, getting a driver's license and presenting the massive amount of paperwork needed to prove he was a doctor.

Baby Factory Discovered in Abia State, Sells Babies for N400,000 – N450,000

                   

Nemesis has finally caught with the peptuators of evil as the Imo State Police Command smashed a child trafficking syndicate, which operates a baby factory in Aba, Abia State.

It was gathered that members of the syndicate snatched two babies in a hospital in Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State.

The suspects reportedly stormed the hospital armed with guns and forcefully took away the babies, a boy and a girl.

Parading the suspects, at the police headquarters in Owerri yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Vitalis Onugu, stated that the suspects, after stealing the two children, sold them to a woman who operates a social home.

Onugu alleged that the woman later resold the children to two other people at the cost of N450,000 and N400,000, saying that the male child was later recovered from a woman in Lagos State.

OPC Leader Arrested in Ogun State For Attempted murder

                                       

Ogun State Police command said Friday that it had arrested the coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC in Ifo, identified as Alabede Baaki who allegedly shot a member of the group Haruna Babajide during a charm-trial exercise in Ifo in Ogun state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi disclosed this through a press statement sent to journalists Friday in Abeokuta.

According to Adejobi Baaki who claimed to be the OPC leader in Ajowa in Ifo had reported the case to police that one Haruna Babajide was shot by unknown person but, he was however indicted during the investigation by the police.

Michael Padayachee was out on R5000 bail on a June intimidation charge brought by Tina Mbili, the mother of his child and his high-school sweetheart, when he allegedly kicked and punched her in the head and face a week ago in Verulam, north of Durban.

NLC To FG: Divert The N40bn Budgeted For N5000 Production Into Infrastructure Or Else...

                              

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Abdulwahed Omar, on Thursday urged the Federal Government to divert the N40 billion budgeted for production of N 5000 note into infrastructure development.

He gave the suggestion at the 8th Delegates Conference of the Metal Products Senior Staff Association of Nigeria in Lagos.

Represented by Mrs Amina Danesi, an ex-officio of NLC, Omar said that the government should spend the N40 billion on repairs of roads, power and the informal sector, with a view to attaining its Vision 20:2020.

“Since our country has over N40billion, we suggest the money should be spent on power sector, informal sector and roads, to ensure the growth of the economy and to achieve industrial heights in the year 2020,’’ Omar said.

Kwara: Police Nabs Young Man Behind Killer Text Messages In Ilorin

                                          

The Kwara Police Command on Friday arrested a man alleged to be circulating `killer’ text messages to the public.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Kayode Fabode, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin that the man (names withheld) was being interrogated.

Fabode urged members of the public to ignore the messages, saying there was no iota of truth in them.

The police spokesman said that the man had been sending text messages claiming that four people who answered calls from a certain GSM number had died in Ilorin and Omu-Aran.
