London Based Nigerian Doctor Commits Suicide After His Double Life Is Exposed

 A cheating Nigerian-born Doctor who led a double life with two women for seven years and promised to marry both of them one month apart hanged himself when his secret was exposed, an inquest heard.

Dr Festus Ojagbemi, 49, known as ‘Wally’, who had a surgery in Strood, Kent, lived with long-term partner Jackie Hammond in the week and lover Bamidele Ayeni on weekends – for seven years.
He fathered a child with Miss Ayeni – a popular Nigerian singer known as Dele Achiever – and said he would wed them both, while racking up thousands of pounds worth of debt taking them on holidays.

Looking every inch the curvy superstar, mother-of-one Beyoncé, performed her song Diva before Jay-Z joined her for Crazy In Love and Young Forever.
Although crowds were waiting for Jay-Z to come in the Crazy In Love sondtrack after the rapper, 42, became so distracted watching his wife on the monitors backstage he was heard saying: ‘Oh s**t, I should probably rap here.’
And when the song was finished as Beyoncé walked off the stage, Jay-Z gave her playful slap on the derriere.

When labour met her that day, Maryamu Bala, as all expectant mothers do, expected to be delivered of a normal healthy baby.
After a few hours, the child was delivered in the wee hours of Friday. It came out like every other child except that, unlike other children, it had a third limb with complete features of human legs.

House boy Steals N25m worth of Jewellery from General Olu Bajowa’s Wife


Thieves appear to be targeting the treasure boxes of wives of Nigeria’s retired generals with another case of a house help who stole the jewellery of the wife of General Olu Bajowa.
Last month in Kano, thieves stole the N20million jewellery of Mariam, wife of the late Nigerian dictator, General Sani Abacha.
The latest incident happened in Ibadan. The suspect, Kingsley Aimekhu , a house help of the former acting Military Governor, South East Region and River States and ex- Ondo State Gubernatorial candidate, General Olu Bajowa, stole the jewellery, worth N25m from the wife of the General.

Sultan Of Sokoto And Catholic Archbishop Of Abuja Nominated For 2012 Nobel Peace Prize

Two of Nigeria’s notable religious leaders, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Onaiyekan, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar III, have both been nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, representing Christianity and Islam respectively.
These nominations come at a time when the activities of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, are threatening the peace of the country.
According to the reported issued on Thursday, the International Peace Research Institute noted that Onaiyekan and the Sultan may have made the list alongside the former US President Bill Clinton, Prof. Gene Sharp of the United States, a theorist on non-violent struggle, and the Echo of Moscow radio station, for their efforts at campaigning against the misuse of religion.

Armed Robbery suspect Caught Among New Recruits in Nigeria Police College


The Nigeria Police College, Kaduna on Thursday said it found a robbery suspect among recruit constables undergoing training in the college.
The Commandant of the college, Alhaji Sanusi Rufai, told newsmen in Kaduna that the suspect was named by members of his gang after they were arrested by the police in Abuja.
The commandant said details of the suspect’s identity were forwarded to the college, which withdrew, arrested and transferred him to the appropriate police unit for investigation.

Tiwa Savage Not Returning to Nigerian Idol As Charly Boy’s Alter Ego Makes Her Debut


Rumours making rounds since September 19, when producers of the Nigerian Idol talent show launched the third season of the show, that season 2 co-host, Tiwa Savage would not be involved in the third season has been confirmed as sources say the singer is focusing more on her career and working assiduously on her debut album expected before the year ends.
Another prominent person missing at the September 19 event was one of the show’s judges, Charly Boy who has now made it clear he would still be on the judges’ seat, except this time he’s going to be there as his alter ego he referred to as Linda. TRAGEDY: 20 Wedding Guests Killed in Ogun State Auto Crash

No fewer than 20 people were reported dead in auto crash yesterday along Kobape-Abeokuta. The accident occurred at Ototo village located between Paramount F.M Radio Station and Police Computer College, Abeokuta around 7.30 a.m.
The accident was reportedly caused by a truck with registration number, Lagos, JJJ 489XB, which allegedly veered off its lane and rammed into a fully loaded Hiace passengers bus conveying the victims.

It was gathered that the victims, all members of the African Church Solution Camp, Ewang Estate, Abeokuta, had left for Lagos to attend a wedding ceremony of one of their members when tragedy struck.

The driver of the truck was said to have lost control and killed the bus passengers.

Dangote Donates N200million to Flood Victims


The richest man in Africa, Nigeria's Aliko Dangote has donated N200 million to victims of flood in Nigeria’s Kogi state.

The donation is made of N50 million food items and N150 million cash, a total of $1,250,000.

 The donation is only a part of the assistance Dangote planned to offer the people of the state. In addition, he planned to empower 1,000 women in each of the 21 local councils in the state, for which he has set aside another N230 million. Each woman, will collect a grant of N10,000, about $65 to start petty business.

Residents Flee As Police Begin Search For Killers of UNIPORT Students


The Police Command in Rivers State has launched a manhunt of the mob that beat to death four male students: Ugonna, Ilyod, Tekana and Chidiaka of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) on Friday morning and later set them ablaze, after putting car tyres on their necks, for allegedly  stealing mobile phones and laptops.

The incident occured at Aluu community, beside UNIPORT, where most of the students who could not secure accommodation on the campus reside.
Residents of the community have started fleeing to avoid indiscriminate arrest by policemen, especially of innocent persons.

Unknown gunmen have attacked Dogon Kuka village in Yobe State, killing and injuring an unspecified number of people.
