Man Allegedly Commits Suicide By Jumping Down From 8th Floor of Federal Secretariat


A man has reportedly committed suicide in Port Harcourt today.
According to reports, the middle-aged man jumped from the 8th floor of the Federal Secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The motive behind his alleged suicide is still unknown, but the police have reportedly been informed and investigation into the cause of his death will be done in earnest.

Tee Mac Apologises For Calling Bishop Oyedepo A Money Grabbing Fraud

Gambian President Claims to Have Secret Concoction than Can Cure HIV/AIDS


The Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh, has said that dozens of HIV and AIDS patients in his country have been cured using his secret concoction of boiled herbs.
 Jammeh had first announced he had found a natural remedy to cure HIV and AIDS in 2007, stirring anger among Western medical experts who claimed he was giving false hope to the sick.
In response to his critics in a state television broadcast on Sunday evening, the president had said “Who am I to expect that everybody would praise me?’’ 

Rochas Okorocha Celebrates His Birthday And 10th Year Anniversary Of Rochas Foundation College


Yesterday, October 8th 2012, Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha added a year. The date also coincided with the 10th anniversary celebration of the Rochas Foundation college.
The Ceremony also marked the graduation of the RFC students.
The ceremony which attracted very important dignitaries like Morgan Tsvangirai; The Prime Minister of Zimbabwe and Gov. Peter Obi, had Tuface, Bracket and AY the Comedian perform.

UNIPORT VC Confirms That 3 Out of The 4 Victims of The Aluu Killings Are Its Students


Reports have it that the Vice Chancellor of University of Port Harcourt(UNIPORT), Professor Joseph Ajienka has confirmed the studentship of three of the victims of the Aluu killings; Chidiaka,Ugonna, and Lloyd at a news conference in Port Harcourt. 
Tekena’s name seem to be missing from school records as the VC said he is yet to be properly identified.
Tekena Elkanah was believed to be a 2nd year student of Computer Science in the school.
Speaking to reporters during the news conference, Prof Ajienka said the incident took place in the morning of October 5. 
He also said the university had declared seven days mourning with effect from October 8, while the annual students’ week scheduled to commence on the same day had been postponed indefinitely.
