57 Graduates Make First Class As UNIBEN Prepares for 38th Convocation

As the school prepares for its 38th convocation slated for November 21 and 24, the Senate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has approved the results of 8, 863 graduating students to be awarded various diplomas, certificates and degrees of the institution.

This was made known by the vice chancellor of the institution, Professor Godwin Oshodin, who disclosed it while speaking at the new Senate auditorium of the institution. The vice chancellor also added that out of the total number of graduating students, 57 came out with first class; 1, 502 had second class upper division; 3, 765 with second class lower; 838 finished with third class, while five had pass degrees.

The first question I asked when I saw this gist is; Is This Man OK? The man in the above picture is a 44-year-old man (Vladimir Fomin) who prefers to wear women's dress rather than men's dress.
For example he prefers to wear skirt rather than a trouser!!

Infact he was expelled from the Ivanovo University of Mathematics just because he does not want to wear trouser, despite being one of the brightest students at the University and even earning a scholarship!!

His reason is that he just wants to stand up for the rights of men to wear whatever kind of clothes they like. After all, women are allowed to wear trousers!!!

I think this man needs deliverance. Where is my Bible and Holy Water?

Yesterday, UN Peace Ambassadors Owen Gee, Goldie, Ruggedman, Wierd Mc, Lafup, Gaise Baba, Mc Diouf $ Dayo Israel visited 3 Lagos schools for the #PeaceAmbassador AimHigher High School Tour.

Cosmas Maduka Wants To Kill Me – Ifeanyi Ubah Alarmed IG of Police

The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, alleging threats to his life.

Ubah is accusing Mr Cosmas Maduka, the boss of Coscharis Group as the person behind the threat.

The two Anambra-born business men have been at loggerheads with accusations and counter-accusations of fraud and betrayal.

The letter signed on behalf of his Robinson Apkua reads: “We are solicitors to Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Ltd. and on whose behalf and mandate we write this petition.

“We write to formally inform you about the libellous publications against our client and also threats to his life by Chief Cosmas Maduka of Coscharis Group.

Another heavy knock has come on Nigerian government as the newest rating on corruption indicates that the acclaimed giant of the Africa is the second most corrupt nation in the world.

The rating according to a Gallup poll shows that the rate of corruption in the country is getting out of hand.

Gallup, in its first-ever report on “Global States of Mind: New Metrics for World Leaders,” said 94 percent of Nigerians believe there is prevalent corruption in government.

The poll reveals that in the world, only Kenyans believe their government is more corrupt. About 96 percent of Kenyans said there is widespread corruption in their government while only five percent of Singaporeans said their government is corrupt.

The actor reportedly died today (Thursday) at Park Lane hospital in the Coal City of Enugu.

The actor, who had one of his legs amputated few days ago had been battling with the infected leg for some time.

A 40-year-old Bangladesh woman, Monju Begum, has reportedly cut off the penis of a man who was allegedly trying to rape her, and then took it to police as evidence.

According to police, Mozammel Haq Mazi, the suspect, who is also Begum’s neighbor, forced his way into her shanty and began sexually assaulting her.

Investigators say Begum stopped the attack by cutting off his penis. She then placed the evidence into a polythene bag and took it into police as proof that Mazi had attempted to rape her.

Begum, a married mother of three, told the police that Mazi had been harassing her for the past six months. He is reportedly also married and has five children.

A 28-year old suspected Facebook fraudster, Benjamin Asuahor, of Eleko town in Lagos State was on Thursday arraigned before an Abuja Magistrates’ Court, Life Camp for alleged cheating.
The accused, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Rahmatu Gulma, was also charged with criminal breach of trust and criminal intimidation, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

The Police prosecutor, Cpl. John Ijagbemi, told the court that one Amaka Okoye of No. 2, Gafia Street, Nasarawa State reported the accused at the FCT Police Command headquarters, Abuja.

A fuel tanker on Thursday crashed into an electricity pole in Jebba town in Kwara State, causing a stampede.

The crash was reported by the Federal Road Safety Commission said in a Facebook post.

It stated that the crashed tanker blocked the road, causing a traffic jam while people rushed to fetch fuel from the truck.

Borno Water Resources Director Killed By Gunmen

The Director of Design and Construction in the Borno State Ministry of Water Resources, Mallam Ali Mohammed Sheriff was yesterday killed by gunmen in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Sheriff’s death came barely 24 hours after a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Land and Survey, Mallam Yerima and another lecturer with the Department of Geography, University of Maiduguri, Mr. Babagana Kolo were trailed to their houses and shot dead in Maiduguri metropolis.

Military Joint Task Force, JTF, otherwise known as Operation Restore Order had, last week through its spokesman, Lt.-Col. Sagir, said government officials were now target of attacks by suspected terrorists.

It was gathered that Ali was trailed by his assailants to his house, yesterday morning, and shot him in front of his house in Mafoni ward as he was preparing to go his office in Maiduguri.

The Second Republic Senate Leader, Dr. Olusola Saraki, died on Wednesday after a five-year battle with cancer. Saraki, who died in his 42 Cameron Road, Ikoyi, Lagos home, was 79 years.

Olaolu, his youngest son, spoke to reporters at his father’s residence as the deceased was being prepared to be flown to Ilorin, Kwara State, for burial.

His remains were later interred at his Ilofa, Ilorin home at about 6.20pm.

Olaolu said the former Senate Leader died “peacefully”.

He said, “My father was very comfortable at his last moments. He was actually fine this morning but he had been battling with cancer for about five years. He was ill for a while but he recovered.

“He died around 6am after he had said his prayers. He was with my mother, brother and two sisters at the time he died.”

Man Kills Himself Over Obama's Re-Election Victory

A florida man who told his partner that "if Barack gets re-elected, I'm not going to be around" was found dead on Nov. 8, with the words "F--- Obama!" scrawled on his will and two empty prescription bottles nearby.

Henry Hamilton, 64, owner of Tropical Tan off Duval Street, was "very upset about the election results," his partner Michael Cossey told Police Officer Anna Dykes.

Police spokeswoman Alyson Crean said a cause of death is awaiting autopsy results from the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office but said, "There's absolutely no evidence of foul play."

According to Dykes' report, Cossey returned to the South Roosevelt Boulevard condo he shared with Hamilton after a late night of playing cards with friends and fell asleep on the couch around 6 a.m.

Man who Swallowed 220 Polished Diamonds Caught by South African Police at Johannesburg Airport

South African police say they’ve arrested a 25-year-old man who swallowed 220 polished diamonds in an attempt to smuggle them out of the country. The man, a Lebanese, was attempting to smuggle them from Johannesburg to Dubai.

Capt. Paul Ramaloko of the South African Police Service said investigators arrested the man on Tuesday night as he waited in line at security at O.R. Tambo International Airport just outside of Johannesburg.

Ramaloko said a scan of the man’s body showed the diamonds, which later were recovered. He said the man had been on his way to Dubai.

According to the police captain, “We nabbed him just before he went through the security checkpoint… We had to take him through the X-ray and take them out from his body.”

The diamonds were reported to be worth about $2.3 million. Authorities believe the man belongs to a smuggling ring, as another man was arrested in March attempting the same thing. South Africa is one of the world’s top diamond producers.

Man Uses GPS to Trace His Wife to a Place Where She was Having Sex with a 16-year-old Boy

A suspicious husband has made use of the GPS capability on his wife’s cellphone to trace her, only to find the 38-year-old teacher having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

The wife, Amie Neely, now faces a felony sexual assault charge after being arrested by Port St. Lucie, Fla. police early Sunday morning, according to TC Palm.

Reports have it that the boy was an exchange student living with Neely and her husband at the time of the alleged assault. There is also another exchange student still taking up residence there. There is no indication, however, that Neely, who teaches at Community Christian Academy, ever taught the student she’s accused of assaulting.

Kwara State Declares Three-Day Mourning Following Saraki's Death, Wazirin of Ilorin.

Kwara Government on Wednesday announced the death of Second Republic Senate Leader, Dr. Olusola Saraki.

The elderstates man died at the age of 79 years.
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, who announced the death of the politician at Government House, Ilorin, said Saraki passed on in the early hours of Wednesday.

The governor declared Wednesday a work-free day to allow residents of the state to receive the body of the politician, who died in Lagos.

Ahmed also declared a three-day mourning period across the state, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Crisis erupted at Owerri North Local Government Area, of Imo State, on Monday as the chairman Dr. Eric Ogwo, and the Secretary of Owerri Municipal Area Council, Felix Nnodi, were reportedly beaten and whisked away from office by 50 security members of the Imo State Security Network.

The security men stormed the premises and forcefully ejected the officials from the council premises.

According to them, they were sent by the Special Adviser on Security to Governor Rochas Okorocha and accompanied by the Commissioners of commerce, Sports and Youth.

Pastor Paul Adefarasin Escapes Death On His Way To Oritsejafor’s Celebration In Warri

The visionary and founder of the House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, this morning shared with members of his congregation how he escaped accident yesterday.

The very articulate and dapper man of God, said he was on his way to the Lagos Airport, to catch a flight to warri, where he was to attend the birthday/40th anniversary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria President, Pastor Ayo Oristejafor.

According to him, God spoke to him and asked him not to use his Range Rover, which he would usually prefer to drive for long distances. Unknown to him, the bolts of a Tyre on the left side of the utility car, had almost come off.
