Boos for New Chelsea Manager, Benitez as Chelsea earns Man City draw

Rafael Benitez's tenure as Chelsea interim coach began beneath a hail of boos on Sunday as the club's fans voiced their displeasure at his arrival.

Benitez was appointed on a short-term basis on Wednesday after Roberto Di Matteo was sacked, but some Chelsea fans have protested against the move due to the Spaniard's former role as coach of rivals Liverpool.

The mutiny was loud and sustained and, for Rafael Benítez, callous in its intentions. His team only sporadically threatened to lift the mood and Benítez's first match as Chelsea's manager will be remembered only for the vitriol that was waiting for him inside Stamdford Bridge.

Patrick Obahiagbon Speaks On Nigerian Pastors And Private Jets

I cast my vote for Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and Pastor Tunde Bakare in their demosthenic vitriol against spiritual megalomaniacs whose modus vivendi has become increasingly byzantine and repulsively narcissistic.

We must all begin to deprecate this razzmatazz and Nestorian braggadocio in the "HOUSE OF GOD" because when there is no difference between the values of a Pastor and a typical Nigerian Politician, then it's truly a bolekaja ambience.....

Northern Elders Condemned Govt Decision to Place Bounty on Boko Haram Leaders.

The Northern Elders Forum has described the act of offering cash rewards for the apprehension of Boko Haram's leaders by government as an act of insincerity on the part of government.

The forum insists that rather than focus on trying to apprehend the leaders of Boko Haram the government should treat them like it treated the Niger Delta militants and rehabilitate them.

Spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum, Dr. Paul Unongu said “The militants were rehabilitated and compensated with huge sums of money; some of them were given big contracts. If it was possible for the militants in the Niger Delta, which is Jonathan’s part of the country, why would it not be possible for Boko Haram in the North?”

Continuing further he said "on the surface, placing a bounty on the heads of the leaders of Boko Haram shows that the FG has dropped negotiation.”

Faze and Now Muzik Label Part Ways

FEW months after signing Faze on to Now Muzik management outfit in Lagos, both have parted ways last week on mutual understanding.

Gist Naija learnt from Efe Omoreghe in a session that certain clauses in the contract, which Now Muzik did not feel comfortable with, were responsible for the revocation of the contract.
“It’s not something I planned to talk about till we issue a press release, but now that you have asked, just last week, we cancelled our contract with Faze because there were clauses that would hinder our ability to successfully carry out our end of the deal, even as it concerns Faze’s career more than our benefits from the contract,” Efe told gistnaija on Tuesday in Lagos.

A Must Read: World's Longest Coma Patient, Dies After 42 Years In Coma.

Edwarda O'Bara was a high school student in 1970 (14yr-old) when she fell ill, threw up her medicine and slipped into a diabetic coma. She died on Wednesday in Miami at the age of 59, after spending four decades in a coma.

Her family ( her sister Colleen and mother) stayed by her side, caring for the ailing woman and keeping her company for the past 42 years.

I almost shed tears when I first read this story. We all have to thank God for the situation that we are in now. This little girl in the above picture spent not 10, 20, 30, 40 but 42 YEARS OF HER LIFE IN COMA!!!!! This means she did not open her eyes nor move around nor even speak to someone for 42 years. It also means she was at a mid-point between death and life for 42 years. What could be worse than this kind of life? I can not  imagined the kind of trauma and worry her family members went through.

No matter your situation give thanks to God because others are passing through situations more than 100 times worse than yours. Food For Thought!

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Perfect Peace, Amen. (wiped the tears now in my eyes).
